Pretty controversial call here. It’s hard to see at first, but with the benefit of instant replay, its clear cut that this ball hit by A’s infielder Adam Rosales went over the yellow home run line and hit the railing above it, then happened to bounce into play. Now umpires have access to the same instant replay technology and why they didn’t end up reversing this call is beyond me. Call it the rigging of sports, there’s no other explanation here. Of course A’s manager Bob Melvin got ejected and I applaud him, no reason to stay in the game after you’ve been robbed like this. Indians got a gift.
