Tebow Gone, ESPN is Fucked

Considering ESPN has dedicated 90% of their coverage today to Tebow being released by the Jets, I feel like I’m basically beating a dead horse talking about this, but I couldn’t resist. Do you realize how much coverage Tebow has gotten from his time at Florida then to Denver and then as a BACKUP for the Jets. He’s ESPN’s lovable loser. He hasn’t done shit in the NFL. He’s a horrible QB. I’ve seen Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith dedicate hours upon hours debating anything and everything Tebow. Last summer the Jets faithful thought divine intervention would finally help them put the misery of Mark Sanchez (whattup Eliza Kruger) behind them. But no, not on Rex’s watch. Tebow was strictly used on special teams and random downs. I don’t believe he was part of a whole series of downs the entire season. Ryan opted to put in Greg fucking McElroy before he put in Tebow. Even with the butt fumble hysteria plaguing Sanchez, Ryan stuck to his guns with him, dreading to put Tebow in. To me this move to release him was inevitable. ESPN’s HQ in Bristol right now are sweating and praying that someone in the NFL will pickup Tebow so they can have their idol back. I don’t know who would be dumb enough to sign him but don’t get me wrong, ESPN will break that news as soon as it comes out.

So whats next for Tim? There has been speculation about the CFL and apparently the Montreal Alouettes own the rights to him, which is great because then he can join my favorite Gamecock quarterback Stephen Garcia in Monty. If he does go to the CFL you can bet ESPN will sign a deal to broadcast Alouette games, just like they signed a deal with the KHL this fall when the NHL was in a lockout and Ovechkin (along with others) decided to take their talents back to the motherland. Whatever happens Tebow will never leave the national spotlight and we’re sure to be aware of his every move. Cue DJ Steve Porter…

8:30PM UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that the Lingerie Football League has reached out to Tim Tebow’s agent offering him a job as a quarterback coach.

LFL President Mitchell Mortaza writes, “Now that it appears Mr. Tim Tebow’s career in the National Football League may be coming to an end, we at Legends Football League would like to extend him an offer to become our Quarterbacks Coach nationally.
