Huffington Post – Democrat Karen Peterson, a state senator in Delaware, came out as gay on Tuesday during debate on a bill to legalize same-sex marriage.
According to On Top Magazine, Peterson received applause after speaking publicly for the first time about her 24-year relationship with her partner Vicki.
This is like the ultimate rebuttal to have during a debate. “Well you know what, I’m gay.” That’s how you put the metaphorical bullet in your opponent. Just throw the biggest curveball you can think of. That’s it, debate over, you don’t recover from something like that. And you know what the bill ended up passing later, why? Probably because the other side was still so distraught at what the hell had just happened.
But seriously though, it says this lady and her ladymate have been together for 24 years and they entered a civil union last year….soo? How is this news right now? How did no one know about this? This Peterson character just seems like a sneaky bastard, just letting this whole homosexual part of her life fly under the public radar like no big deal, just waiting to drop the hammer at the exact right time so she can get legislation to go her way.
